(CNN) — A 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit south-central Iran late Tuesday afternoon, centered about 91 kilometers southeast of Bushehr, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
Bushehr is the site of a key Iranian nuclear facility.
Iran's Fars news agency said the quake measured at 6.1 magnitude. Three people are dead, Iran's state television Press TV reported.
The quake was at a depth of 10 kilometers, the USGS said. No reports of casualties or damage were immediately made.
The CNN bureau in Dubai said that the quake was felt there and in Abu Dhabi, and that some buildings in Abu Dhabi were evacuated.
CNN's Phil O'Sullivan contributed to this report.
