Montgomery County, TX (CNN) — According to CNN, Texas Rangers have arrested a woman for a plot to murder and maim two Montgomery County prosecutors.
Dorothy Canfiled, 84, an inmate in the Montgomery County Jail, confessed to the plot when Texas Rangers lead her to believe one of the prosecutors she targeted had been killed.
Officials say Canfiled agreed to pay an undercover officer $5,000 to kill one prosecutor and $2,500 to put the district attorney in the hospital for two to three weeks.
