KETK — Retired USMC Sergeant, Brendan O’Toole, is running across America to raise awareness and funds in support of returning veterans.
O’Toole, President and Founder of The RUN FOR VETERANS (www.therunforveterans.org ) launched the Run in Oceanside, CA on Veterans Day, November 11, 2012. Setting a goal of running 3,600 miles through 21 states and raising $2 million, O’Toole hopes to promote, on a grassroots level, the positive mental, physical and social well-being of returning veterans and their families. Running an average of 15 miles a day, O’Toole will finish the run in Portland, ME in 2013.
