Nacogdoches, TX (KETK) — A Nacogdoches woman has had additional charges filed against her after assaulting a jailer at the Nacogdoches Jail.
Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that the Nacogdoches Police Dept arrested Dominique Macon on a misdemeanor warrant charge where she was transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
A female jailer searched Macon while inside the jail. During the search, the jailer found a bottle of what officers believed contained the drug PCP hidden inside of Macon pants. Macon starting fighting with the jailer and was able to throw the liquid substance inside the bottle onto the jailer. The liquid substance struck the jailer in the face that went into her eyes and mouth. Macon was quickly subdued without further incident.
The jailer was taken to Nacogdoches memorial hospital for medical treatment where she was treated and later released.
Charges have been filed against Macon, 21, for Assault on a public Servant, Tampering with physical evidence and having a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
