Tyler, TX — Since there was no winner in Wednesday's $360 million Powerball drawing, the jackpot for Saturday's drawing almost doubled in value.
Valero Gas Station clerk Dena Thacker says, "The annual payment is six hundred million and the estimated cash option is three hundred and seventy-six million."
Even though the jackpot is one of the largest in Powerball history, there are some who say they have lost too many times to continue playing this game. Michael Boyd of Tyler says, "Most of the winners are from up north like in New Jersey, and they're older."
Although some are less than optomistic, the majority still thinks Saturday might be their lucky day.
Sean Strealow of Tyler says if he wins, he will "Probably gas up the truck for the rest of my life. It only gets fifteen miles to the gallon."
Tyler resident Zach Intlehouse says he will "probably just buy a bunch of land and move all of my friends and family out there."
There were also many who were planning on helping others if they won the jackpot. Raul Salinas of Austin says "I'll first help my family."
The one thing all of these lottery ticket buyers had in common was, they all believed they would win.
The winning numbers are 22, 10, 13, 14, 52, and the Powerball number is 11
