Longview — A five-member hiring committee finished interviews this week to fill the vacant-executive director position for the Gregg County Historical Museum.
The group, made of members of the museum’s executive board, narrowed a field of 12 applicants to five finalists in a preliminary interview and then had a follow-up interview with each of the top five, said Mary Ramos, a member of the hiring committee.
“We had some great applications, some really truly good people. It was, you know, a very intense interview process, because we had so many qualified candidates,” Ramos said. “We did have some from out of town, but there was a very strong local pool.”
