Tyler, TX (KETK) — The Tyler / Smith County Texas A&M Club will award 21 scholarships this year to East Texas high school students.
The Scholarship Recipients and their parents will be recognized at a luncheon on Thursday, June 6.
Scholarships are awarded based on scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service, financial need and interviews according to Micheal Lavender, club president.
This year’s scholarship recipients are:
All Saints Episcopal School – Blake Birtcher and Trevor Long
Arp High School – Lauren Littlefield
The Brook Hill School – Timber Garner
Chapel Hill High School – Clint Weaver
Bishop T.K. Gorman High School – Anna Davidson and Max McKinley
Grace Community School – Kirby Edwards – RECIPIENT OF THE JEREMY KERSH
John Tyler High School – Angelina Estrada and Quaneshia Johnson
Robert E. Lee High School – Andrew Bell, Geoffrey Austin Doke, Jace Eakin, Britton Ezzell, Jaina Giddens, Morgan Hadsall, Nathan Leary, Megan McDaniel and Mary Kate Murphy
Lindale High School – Bailey Hukill and John Caleb Jewell
The Tyler / Smith County Texas A&M Club is a non-profit organization providing scholarships for Texas A&M students and fellowship for Former Texas A&M Students. Scholarship funds are raised by the Club through the annual Golf Tournament, Coach’s Night and other events.
