Longview, TX (City of Longview) — The public is invited to attend a Community Kick-off Meeting for the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center from 5:30-7pm on Thursday, June 6, at the Maude Cobb Activity Center, 100 Grand Blvd.

According to City of Longview Director of Community Services Laura Hill, "the Comprehensive Master Plan provides phasing guidelines for development of the property and will serve as an excellent resource for the future."
Mr. Bob Metzler, Chairperson for the Master Plan Development Committee says "I hope that everyone interested in the development of the Arboretum will be able to attend the Kick-off Meeting."
The Longview Arboretum and Nature Center is planned for a wooded area adjacented to the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex. Volunteer and fundraising opportunities are available.
