CNN — At the tender age of 22, Jennifer Lawrence is still winning.
The Oscar winner, who picked up the statuette this year for "Silver Linings Playbook," will serve as both star and producer on her next film.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress will wear both hats on "The Rules of Inheritance," an upcoming drama based on the memoir of the same name.
In the book, writer Claire Bidwell Smith chronicles the difficult coming-of-age she experienced after learning at 14 that both of her parents had been diagnosed with cancer.
Bruce Cohen will produce alongside Lawrence, and filmmaker Susanne Bier has been tapped to direct "Inheritance." (Interestingly enough, Bier also led another one of Lawrence's movies with Bradley Cooper, "Serena.")
Abi Morgan ("Shame"; "The Iron Lady") is adapting Smith's work for the screen.
