(KETK) Overton Tx — A major sidewalk project in Overton is way ahead of schedule.
But, one business owner is not happy with what she's seeing outside her front door.
City officials say the project has been built to Americans with Disability Act standards, with ramps and railings.
But Cheryl Thornton, owner of The Barber's Pole Style Shop, feels these railings, will only work to keep customers away.
According to city officials, Thornton's business is located on the high-point of the sidewalk, and must have a ramp and railing.
But Thornton believes this added railing will detract from her business, and over time she will lose new customers.
Thornton will bring her case to the city council meeting on Thursday night.
City manager Joe Cantu tells KETK, Thornton is the only business owner voicing these types of complaints
