Tyler, Texas (KETK) — This is one of the hottest weeks so far in this young summer.
East Texas is heating up and KETK's Meteorologist Katie Vossler tells us we could possibly see triple temperatures by the end of the week.
"The seven day forecast calls for triple digits... Possible at the end of this week. Now not everyone will see the triple digits but even you don't see the triple digits, it's still going to feel that way," says Vossler.
Experts say, as East Texas is heating up the emergency room gets busier.
"People being sick with different kind of infections, if you have a fever you lose a lot more heat even quicker when it's this hot outside," says Bryan Lowery, MD., Trinity Clinic Family Medicine.
Lowery says, people need to drink more water than they think they need, and if people are feeling ill or dehydrated they need to go to the emergency room.
