Cincinnati — Homer Bailey pitched the first no-hitter of the season Tuesday night in Cincinnati.
Bailey no-hit the Giants, 3-0.
It was the second no-no of Bailey's career. He also fired a no-hitter 10 months ago.
Baliey came close to a perfect game against San Francisco. He allowed just one Giant to reach base. He allowed a walk to start the seventh inning.
And that was all.
Bailey became the first Reds pitcher to hurl a no-hitter in Cincinnati since 1988.
The right-hander had nine strikeouts against the Giants.
An no hits.
