Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — A Lufkin man is behind bars after police caught him stealing alcohol from Lufkin Lanes.
Jeremy O'Bryant, 31, was arrested for burglary of a business with $155 worth of liquor.
A Lufkin Police officer responded to an active burglar alarm Wednesday morning around 3:40 a.m., at Lufkin Lanes, located in the 900 block of South Chestnut Street.
The officer found a door to the building unsecured but did not detect signs of forced entry.
Other Lufkin officers found O'Bryant hiding beneath a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Ralph Avenue. O'Bryant was in possession of five bottles of alcoholic beverages stolen from within Lufkin Lanes.
O’Bryant was taken to the Lufkin jail and his bond amount has not been released.
