Lonview — He's the Sports Editor of the Lonview News-Journal.
Jack Stallard says Longview's Chris Davis is a more patient hitter now.
He told KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner that you could see it last season.
Stallard said, "He's doing some historic stuff. You could see the signs that Chris Davis was becoming a better hitter. He's more patient at the plate. He's harder to get out. In the past, you get two strikes on him and you could throw the ball to the backstop and he would swing at it. He's working harder and he's working smarter. Instead of taking 200 cuts in the batting cage, he's cutting those swings down, making smarter decisions. He's becoming a complete baseball player."
