Tyler, Texas (KETK) —
Thursday, July 4, is the last day to vote for players in the Major League Baseball All-Star game.
Longview native, Chris "Crush" Davis, who blasted his 32nd homerun and knocked in his 83rd RBI Wednesday night, joins Texas Ranger Mitch Moreland on the American League ballot for starting first baseman.
Other Rangers on the ballot include Ian Kinsler, Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre, A.J. Pierzynski, Lance Berkman, Nelson Cruz, Leonys Martin and David Murphy.
Despite being in last place in the AL West, the Astros have a strong presence on the ballot as well.
The Houston players include; Brett Wallace, Jose Altuve, Ronny Cedeno, Matt Dominguez, Jason Castro, Carlos Pena, Rick Ankiel, Chris Carter and Justin Maxwell.
