Houston, Texas (KETK) — According to national reports, seven-time NBA all-star, Dwight Howard, has decided to sign with the Houston Rockets, although Howard has not publicly confirmed this report.
Howard will be joining former Oklahoma City Thunder player, James Harden and former New York Knick, Jeremy Lin in Houston.
Dallas Maverick fans were hopeful Howard would choose to move to the metro-plex, but earlier today via Twitter, Mavs owner, Mark Cuban, confirmed Howard would not be playing in Dallas.
After a rollercoaster season with the Los Angeles Lakers, the 6'11, 27-year-old center who has won three defensive player of the year awards, hopes to elevate his game in Texas.
Howard has a career average of 18.3 points and 12.9 rebounds per game.
The details of the agreement have not been finalized, but KETK will update information as it becomes available.
