Tyler, Texas (KETK) — Tyler ISD received the Association of School Business Officials International’s (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting award for having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability.
“This award represents a significant achievement and reflects your commitment to the highest standards of school system financial reporting,” John Musso, ASBO Executive Director, said in the award letter.
The District was recognized for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ending 2012. This is the tenth year in a row that Tyler ISD has received the award.
The Certificate of Excellence (COE) award confirms the school business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Recognition through the COE program can help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting.
Tyler ISD posts its annual CAFR on the District website, tylerisd.org. It can be found by clicking the Annual Financial Reports link on the Financial Services page.
