Longview — Coach John King knows how to win.
He's never missed the playoffs.
But that makes it tough to schedule opponents.
No one wants to play the Lobos.
This year Longview will play just four home games.
KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner talked with the leader of the Lobos about his long winning tradition.
"You've got to find a way to get games," King said. "Our winning streak, our number of playoff appearances are things we're proud of. But it also makes it difficult to fill a 10-game schedule."
"We grind on our kids everyday," King added. "We're demanding but our kids respond. It's an everyday process. Those that become complacent and think they've arrived, coaches, kids, whatever, that's when people will be gunning for you and knock you off. We've been fortunate to win our share of games. We've always strived to worry about the Lobos. We don't worry about what's going on around us."
