Tyler, Texas (KETK) — A video has been released of the arrest of Smith County deputy , Kimbrick Jones.
Jones was arrested on Wednesday for drug trafficking after a probe by the Smith County Sheriff's Office revealed Jones was selling drugs out of his patrol car while he was on duty.
Sherriff Larry Smith told KETK he heard rumors of the situation when he took office.
"We got enough information on him two months ago to begin an investigation," said Smith.
If convicted, Jones faces up to 20 years for each drug distribution violation and a minimum of five years for a firearms violation.
