Wood County, Texas (KETK) — The suspect in a Wood County manhunt will be transferred from a local hospital to the Wood County Jail in about two weeks.
Daniel McLemore was taken into custody Tuesday after an all-night search by several agencies.
The search took place as a result of McLemore firing shots at a Wood County Deputy and a DPS Trooper as they responded to a disturbance call at the McLemore residence. After firing the shots, McLemore escaped into a wooded area behind the property.
McLemore was located yesterday afternoon and was wounded when he resisted arrest . The subject was air lifted to a hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. After approximately two weeks of treatment, under guard, McLemore will be transferred to the Wood County Jail where he will await trial on Attempted Capital Murder charges.
The bond on this charge has been set at $500,000.
