Longview — A Longview animal control officer says a dog found shot about 35 times with a pellet gun is one of the worst cases of animal cruelty he’s seen.
The three-year-old pit bull lost its left eye after being repeatedly shot with a pellet gun. Officials believe the animal was shot within 24 hours of it being found.
“The dog was probably tied to a tree or a fence,” said Longview Animal Control Officer Chris Kemper. “Whoever did this wanted to really hurt this animal.”
