Tyler (KETK) — Kilgore has lost a game before the season starts.
The Bulldogs have lost a game in early September.
Lubbock Estacado has pulled out of their game against Kilgore that was scheduled for September 6 in Lewisville.
KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner talked with Kilgore coach Mike Wood.
"It was a big surprise to us," Wood said. "We found out when they texted us."
Kilgore is ranked fifth statewide by Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine.
The Ragin' Red was going to start the season with three straight road games, but that has changed.
The Bulldogs will now play just two non-district games and just nine games total during the regular season.
