Longview, Texas (KETK) — Texas Department of Transportation contract crews are scheduled to continue work on the westbound IH 20 bridge at the Sabine River between Longview and Kilgore.
Lane closures will be in place 24 hours-a-day between Sunday, July 21 through Thursday, July 25 while the work on the bridge deck is completed.
Also this week in Gregg County, TxDOT maintenance crews this week are scheduled to build a left-turn lane on SH 135 for southbound traffic accessing the eastbound Interstate 20 ramp.
And in Kilgore, TxDOT contract crews are scheduled to begin installing traffic signals and school zone beacons for the new Kilgore school on Business 259 just west of the Kilgore Bypass. The signals and school zone beacons will be activated just before school begins in August.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.
