Ellis and Adams want a Super Bowl
Last year at training camp in San Antonio, Greg Ellis could barely walk.
He was coming back from an Achilles injury and it looked like his career was over.
But the veteran responded with a career year.
Ellis had a career high 12 1/2 sacks in just 13 games.
He went to his first-ever Pro Bowl and he was named the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year.
Greg Ellis has been through a lot during his career with the Cowboys, but one thing he hasn't experienced is a Super Bowl.
That would mean more to him than just about anyone else on the team except for another veteran, Flozell Adams.
"It would mean the most to me," Adams said. "But we have the whole season."
"It hasn't started," Adams continued. "Until then, we can't talk about the Super Bowl."
"We've got to finish training camp, get better and do what we have to do," Adams said.
"Flozell and myself, we've been here for a lot of hard seasons," Ellis said. "We're not the poster boys of the team but we have been here through a lot of hard times."
"It would be great if we could pull one out this year," Ellis continued. "It's a lot better to have people saying this is a Super Bowl contender as opposed to people saying they'll be lucky to win six games."
"I'd rather have it this way but you've got to be mature as a team and not buy into the hype," Ellis said. "Flozell Adams and myself won't but into it because we've been here through some rough seasons."
