Smith County, TX (KETK) — Authorities with the Smith County Department of Public Safety tell KETK that a major wreck has been reported on Interstate 20, and that preliminary reports indicate that one person has been killed.
It happened around 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the eastbound lanes of the interstate, between mile marker 556 and 555.

The interstate was blocked while first responders worked the scene.
Another crash was also reported at mile marker 554, but there was no word of what injuries may have been involved in that incident.
On Monday, Lindale Police told KETK that the pedestrian's body has been sent for autopsy and witnesses are being questioned. Additional details have not been released.
