Three occupants bolted and disappeared into the bush
Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; a routine traffic stop had a happy ending for sheriff's deputies in Lavaca County.
A deputy pulled over a SUV on U.S. 77A Saturday for following too close to another vehicle. The driver parked on the shoulder, but the three occupants bolted and disappeared into the bush.
What they left behind in the vehicle had eyebrows raised: seven bundles of marijuana, each weighing from 25 pounds to 68.5 pounds.
