Longview, TX — With Obamacare still a hot topic among Americans a new study recently ranked the top 30 worst counties for the uninsured.
In the report 22 out the 30 worst uninsured counties in the nation are found in Texas including two right here in East Texas, Cherokee and Henderson County. Counties in Florida, New Mexico, and Indiana took the other 8 spots in the top 30.
Conducted by the Center for American Action Fund the study is based on five factors: uninsured under 65, women uninsured under 65, men uninsured from 18-39, uninsured from 18-39, and income 138 percent to 400 percent of federal poverty line.
The factors were broken down to include the top 40 worst counties in each category where several east Texas counties could be found.
