Longview — This is National Farmers Market Week and East Texans don’t have to travel far to take advantage of a variety of options when it comes to these popular venues for buying fresh produce.
The Longview Farmers Market, which, ironically closed the Friday before National Farmers Market Week began, operated at the fairgrounds three days a week from the end of May until this past Friday.
The group takes a very traditional approach to the farmers market concept. The longtime market offers only produce and honey, all of which must be locally grown.
