Tyler, TX — It's the second day of Tax-Free Weekend in Texas.
Back-to-School shopping is what most kids look forward to and there's no better time to shop than during Tax-Free Weekend.
Parents especially love it because they get a break, a tax break that is.
KETK stopped at Broadway Square Mall and target in Tyler where kids and parents were on a Back-to-School shopping spree.
East Texans tell KETK, it's great having a tax break on items that can be costly. In fact, many parents have put shopping on hold until this weekend.
Tax-Free eligible items include clothes, shoes, backpacks, office and school supplies, and items must be under $100, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.
Broadway Square Mall employees tell KETK, there have been large crowds of people taking advantage of this annual holiday.
Tax-Free Weekend is from Aug.9-11th.
