Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — A father-son duo found themselves on the wrong side of the law again after they were busted with drugs and a firearm Thursday night.
At around 10:00 p.m., the convicted felons were driving on the 100 block of Champions Drive when they were pulled over for a traffic violation. At this time, one of the suspects, Richard A. Gee, Jr., jumped from the vehicle and ran from police.
Authorities were able to chase Gee, Jr., 30, of Huntington, down and place him under arrest. Methamphetamine was found in his possession, according to Lufkin police reports. He is charged with evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Meanwhile, Richard A. Gee, Sr., 52, of Crockett, was taken into custody for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, no driver's license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Both were booked into the Angelina County Jail. Gee, Sr.'s, current bonds total $1,000. Gee, Jr.'s, bond is at $1,500.
