Tyler, Texas (KETK) — I know the president wants to make our energy plan wind, sun and unicorns, but we need to get going right now.
Look at all the drilling we have going on in North Dakota.
We have other places around the country going wild, but you never hear about it.
We are fixed upon government encouragement and money for technology, which is not ready yet.
I think, one day, we will be off oil for energy, but if I live to be an old man, we'll have petro products for the rest of my life.
Now, the unrest in Egypt is, I'm afraid, about to make the gas prices blow up again.
Threat or not, I can just hear the speculators on wall Street right now about to panic, orr fake panic and drive prices up.
This is from The Telegraph on Monday:
"After last week's bloody crackdown by the Egyptian army, fears of a disruption of oil supplies to the West have boosted the oil price. Brent crude prices were propelled to a four-month high of $111.23 on Thursday. If the turmoil gets worse - or unrest spreads to other countries - the risk premium currently factored into the price of crude is likely to increase further. Egypt plays a vital role in international energy markets through the operation of the Suez Canal and the Suez-Mediterranean (Sumed) pipeline. These are vital pieces of infrastructure in the global oil market."
Here we go again.
We need to drill.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
