Rusk County, Texas (KETK) — A burn ban has been issued for Rusk County.
The Texas Forest Service has determined that the drought conditions within the county and the Commissioners Court of Rusk County are all in agreement that county presents a public safety hazard that could be fixed by banning outdoor burning.
The Commissioners Court of Rusk County ordered that all outdoor burning without proper precautions (such as being well attended, enclosed in a burn barrel/receptacle, water availability, no wind blowing, and premission from local/volunteer fire department for large burn) is banned in Rusk County for 90 days.
