(KETK) — A warning for owners of Smith and Wesson's M&P Shield pistol made before August 19th of this year.
Smith and Wesson says the trigger bar pin could damage the lower trigger in a way that could affect the function of the drop safety feature on the firearm.
This could potentially allow the pistol to discharge if dropped.
Smith and Wesson is urging all owners to inspect their firearm immediately.

If your firearm is affected, send your pistol to Smith and Wesson.
Your firearm will be repaired at no cost and returned within seven business days.
