(KETK) - Jacksonville Tx — Business owners in downtown Jacksonville are still feeling the effects from the Yum Yums restaurant fire back in April.
A few weeks ago, the city did clean the debris off the road and alley, but people in the area say, it's not enough.
Emily Griffin has owned snaps photography for three years, a business that connects to Yum Yums.
Her building was heavily damaged, and she has not been able to move back in.
She feels the city should take part in demolishing the building, but public works director Will Cole says it is private property, and the city has no jurisdiction to demolish it.
But Griffin says this eyesore will not only hurt current business, but future ones as well.
The owner of the property is a man named Robert Lane.
KETK tried to contact him, but he never called back.
