Tyler — Bishop Gorman has an All-Chaplain Team.
They don't play.
"We all are assisting the students in whatever way we can," said Father Justin Braun. "But most importantly we're there for their souls, to get them to heaven."
"They know we're fighting to get their souls to heaven," Father Braun continued. "We've got a great opportunity to do that with the full representation of the clergy in the Catholic priesthood."
"There is no other Catholic school that I know of in which you have a bishop, a priest and a deacon, the fullness of Catholic Holy Orders, represented on campus all the time," said Deacon Bill Necessary.
"When I was going to school here, I was the Crusaders' manager," Deacon Necessary continued. "I filled water bottles and taped ankles. That taught me Christian service and inspired me to do what I do today."
Bishop Emeritus Edmond Carmody is also part of Bishop Gorman's All-Chaplain Team.
The Crusaders will have their home opener this Friday, September 6th, against Arlington Oakridge.
