Tyler, Texas (KETK) — Smith County and the City of Tyler will be hosting a community meeting on Monday, September 9.
The leaders will discuss several community issues.
Smith County Commissioner JoAnn Hampton and Tyler City Councilman, Darryl Bowdre will co-host a community meeting to address local issues.
The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Hubbard Building at 302 E. Ferguson St. in Tyler.
Topics of discussion will include changes to voting requirements, community safety, roads, economic development, and local jobs.
Representatives from the Smith County Road and Bridge Department and Smith County Sheriff's Office will be present to provide assistance and answer questions. The Smith County Elections Office will also have a booth to register voters, update voter information, and provide information on new voting requirements in the state of Texas.
The City of Tyler Police Department, Code Enforcement, Neighborhood Services, and Parks and Recreation Departments will also be on hand to share information.
