Hallsville — When Rusk County Pct. 3 Constable Tim Barton realized his office’s budget wasn’t big enough for a K-9, he decided he’d pay to have the dog.
Then he got some help from another law enforcement agency and a canine group.
When members of the Hallsville Police Department heard about Barton’s budget woes they helped him him connect with the National Canine Interdiction Association.
