Longview — Longview City Council members are set to approve spending nearly $1 million for the reconstruction of 11 historical oil dirt streets spread across Longview when they meet Thursday.
The $977,541.70 contract with Tyler-based Reynolds and Kay, will pay for the third of four overhauls of Longview’s oil dirt roads.
The contract, which is expected to be completed in about six months from its approval, would allow asphalt to be laid at Hillsdale Drive, Ridgewood Drive, Seventh Street, Ninth Street, Tenth Street, Rawley Drive, Garner Lane, Aars Drive, Martha Drive, Charron Street and Longview Parkway.
