Tyler, Texas (KETK) — The gates to the 98th Annual East Texas State Fair opens September 20th and it's nine days of fun.
Folks organizing the fair tell us, East Texans can expect something different. East Texans are going to love what has been added to the fair.
KETK spoke to the President of the East Texas State Fair, John Sykes, he tells us, they have added a Frontier Show with horses, cooking and a saloon.
Another attraction they're adding is the a wild pack of wolves that have been trained to do tricks and acts.
Plus, a high-diving act, where one of the highlights of this will be a man diving from 8 stories high into a 9 foot pool of water.
There will be a new concert series with the help of East Texas Music.
Some of the artists performing are 'JB and the Moonshine' and the Swan Brothers' who came in third place on the NBC show 'The Voice'.
Hang-on for the new rides. One of the new thrill rides at the fair is called 'Speed', and much more new attractions.
And of course all the traditional attractions will still be there.
The East Texas State Fair is a fun and entertaining time for everyone.
It's all about the rides, concerts, livestock, teaching agriculture, a special attraction of 'Agri World', competitions, shopping, a marketplace, exhibits, and we can't forget all the delicious, tasty fair food and sweets.
And of course spending the day and evening at the East Texas State Fair with family and friends.
It's an East Texas tradition.
