Rusk County, Texas (KETK) — An East Texas landowner is claiming an energy company misled him about a project near his house, but the company disagrees.
In 2010, Edwin Davidson was notified "Luminant" was purchasing nearby land along Rusk County Road 2144 to run a railway for a future coal loading station that would be placed down the road.
But, a few weeks ago, Davidson says he learned the station was being built right across the street from him.
Davidson tells KETK he feels like he has been kept in the dark by the company about their plans.
A spokesperson for "Luminant" says the company did speak to Davidson in 2010 when they offered o purchase his property.
However, the negotiations with Davidson did not work out, so they chose to purchase another property nearby, and the company followed the appropriate procedure,
