Nacogdoches, Texas (KETK) — The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office has received warrants for the arrest of three Nacogdoches men for an aggravated robbery in 2009.
The Robbery occurred in June of 2009 as three men robbed an armored car at Regions Bank in the 300 block of East Main Street.
The investigation had been ongoing since that time.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office has had a series of drug investigations in Nacogdoches County. While conducting these investigations, investigators had received information of drugs being distributed in the 3000 block of North Pecan Street.
The target of the investigation was Samuel Williams.
The sheriff's office got information while conducting these investigations that Williams had been involved in the armored car robbery.
On Monday, September 16, 2013, the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office arrived at Williams residence and conducted a consensual encounter with Williams.
Investigators were allowed to search Williams home which lead to the discovery of 16 grams of Ecstasy and four ounces of marijuana.
Also found was other evidence that linked Williams to the armored car robbery.
Officials also interviewed several other people in the case that had other information and evidence.
The Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office contacted the FBI, Texas Rangers, and Nacogdoches Police Department. All departments came together and began working on the case.
With the information and evidence that the departments had collected in the past and the new evidence that was also collected, officials were able to identify and develop a cause for an arrest for two more suspects that were involved in the robbery.
On Friday, September 20, Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office obtained warrants for the arrest of Samuel Ruiz Williams, 29, Antonio Demond Sonier, 41, and Donnie Jermaine Daniels, 29 of Nacogdoches.
Williams and Sonier have been arrested and are currently in Nacogdoches County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery.
Williams has also been charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office is still looking for Donnie Daniels who is known to hang out in the Lufkin area.
A warrant for aggravated robbery has been issued for Daniels.
