(KETK) - Tyler Tx — This past April, three young boys were killed in a house fire in Winona. Today, the families of those boys are still trying to recover.
And although nothing can heal the loss of a child, one East Texas woman is trying to give them a little closure.
Kathleen Greer lives in Carthage, which is an hour away from Winona where the Dear family resides.
Greer was so moved by what happened to these three little boys that she decided to reach out to the mom -- Heather Dear and try and offer whatever help she could. And now she needs your help.
The three little boys were not laid to rest properly. None of them has a headstone.
So Greer took on this mission, to raise enough money for the three little boys to have a remembrance above their grave.
"These are children under the age of ten," said Greer. "Who wants their baby boy laying in a grave with no kind of memorial? As a mom I can't sit by idle and not help. I mean those boys deserve it, she deserves it."
