LINDALE - Lindale Police continue the search for the driver of a car that crashed through a motel swimming pool fence overnight and landed at the bottom of a swimming pool.
It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday morning at the Lindale Best Western Inn.
A guest told us the driver of the white Cadillac was at the McDonald's next door and somehow plowed through the fence.
Under six-feet of water and filling up fast, witnesses say a man freed himself from the car, swam to the edge of the pool and took off running down the street.
A quick check of the license plates on the car states it belongs to a person in Frankston. However, officials say they don't believe the person driving is the owner of the vehicle.
