(KETK) - Gilmer — The victim of a fatal shooting at Gilmer ISD's Buckeye Stadium on Thursday night has been identified.
Gilmer Police tell KETK that the victim is Cheyenne Green, 29, of Gilmer.
Witnesses reported seeing Green lying on the ground near a vehicle at the stadium on Thursday night, just after 9:00 pm.
Gilmer Police are investigating the incident. Initial police reports indicated that Green had a single gunshot wound, thought the official cause of death has not yet been determined.
Her body was sent to Tyler for autopsy.
The incident is believed to be a result of domestic violence, and authorities have one suspect in custody at the Upshur County Jail. Authorities with the Upshur County Sheriffs Department confirm to KETK that Jonathan Ray Shepherd, 32, has been booked into Jail on a Murder charge in connection to this incident. He is set to be arraigned Friday morning.

No other people are believed to be involved, and no students or faculty members of Gilmer ISD were involved or injured in this incident.
Gilmer ISD released the following statement to KETK on Thursday night, following the death:
"Gilmer ISD officials can confirm that a disturbance occurred on the premises of Gilmer High School Thursday night. The Board and Administration want to assure all parents that no students were involved and all students are safe. This incident was unrelated to the Jr. High football game between Gilmer and Gladewater. Gilmer police are currently investigating the matter."
The Gilmer ISD superintendent says that school will go on as planned on Friday, telling KETK that "if the parking lot is still roped off, students will park at the baseball parking in the back or on the street."
It is unclear at this time whether the incident will have any impact on Friday's scheduled high school football game. Gilmer is set to host Gladewater at 7:30pm at Buckeye Stadium.
Gilmer Police left the scene around 4:30 a.m. on Friday.
Officials with the Gilmer Police Department, Upshur County Sheriffs Office, and the Department of Public Safety are investigating the incident.
