Kilgore — Kilgore ISD trustees are discussing the future of the now-closed Maude Laird Middle School campus as pieces of its past fill the vacant gymnasium.
Superintendent Cara Cooke said Monday that options range from renovating the building that opened in 1978 and keeping the 21-acre property to demolishing it and selling the property.
“Land is limited in Kilgore and we are a growing district,” she said. “We are collecting information and looking into the best way to move forward.”
