Whitehouse, Texas (KETK) — Local business owner and Christian gamer, Bradley Young, has announced the first G4C Tour in East Texas will be held on October 12, in Whitehouse.
Gamers from all over the area are invited to attend, all ages welcome. G4C Tours are a series of events to be held across America that will attract video game fans, competitors, youth and families from around the world. G4C is expecting around 1000-2000 adults and youth to attend the first event held in Whitehouse. The event itself will be streaming live at churches that have already opted in to the campaign for bringing today’s youth to Christ through the power of gaming, a $20 billion industry.
Gamers4Christ was started in 2011 after Brad finished helping youths accomplish their dreams of playing in America’s largest Major Gaming League. He noticed the lack of Christian leadership and organized bible studies that introduced and taught youth about a loving father and relationship through Jesus Christ. He now hosts bible studies for youth gamers through Xbox and Xbox Live and streaming it online for youth to watch around the globe. Within a month he was blown away when over 620 youth watched the internet stream, even young adults as far as Switzerland!
The G4C Tour will bring adults and children together to experience a day of professional skateboarding, BMX, and Motocross, the world’s most popular form of motorcycle racing. This event was created on the platform of bringing today’s youth to Christ in a fun and entertaining environment. A local radio station, The Blaze, will be hosting a live broadcast from the event to keep the public informed of the day’s activities and the accomplishments from the event itself. Better Than Gaming will also be present for the G4C Tour, a company dedicated to “Seeing a brighter future in the cancer game”. Better Than Gaming raises money to have Xbox and Xbox lives put into hospitals for the children who are battling with cancer. A live concert will be performed by Primisis, a Christian rap artist who’s mission is to use his time, talents, and experiences to bring today's youth, and this generation into what experiencing what it looks like to have a real and intimate relationship with their creator.
