(KETK) - Tyler Tx — "Life is sacred, life is precious, and life should be valued," said Matt Oxler, Director of the pro-life club at Bishop TK Gorman Catholic School.
And that was the motto for the people lining the sidewalks in front of TK Gorman Catholic High School in Tyler Sunday.
"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," said State Representative Matt Schaefer.
"You don't have liberty, you don't have the pursuit of happiness if you don't have life."
The goal of Sunday's prayer was to end abortion.
"My prayer is that this will be totally stopped," said Betty Knight, volunteer at the Tyler Pregnancy Resource Center. "Abortion will not be done in America, soon."
"Praying for abortion, praying for those women and those families in those crisis situations," said Melissa Cortez, volunteer at the Tyler Pregnancy Resource Center.
The people who took part stood side-by-side in silent prayer for one hour -- between two and three o'clock. And it was not just in East Texas.
This chain link took place in 1,800 cities all across America.
Anyone who wanted to join was welcome.
