Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — An East Texas woman is now behind bars for a warrant and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Lufkin Police were called to the 100 block of Erwin Street for a call on an aggravated assault.
When authorities arrived on scene they found that Monette M. Thompson, 35, had attempted to hit her boyfriend with a hammer.
Upon further investigation, police found that Thompson had a previous warrant from Center Police Department.
Thompson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a warrant for criminal mischief.
She is currently in Angelina County Jail on a combined bond of $6,500.
