Longview — The co-founder of a movement to revitalize West Longview expanded her vision Tuesday, announcing her intention to oust the incumbent county commissioner for city-bound Pct. 2.
“What does the commissioner of Precinct 2 do for his $64,000 salary?” Kimberly Fish rhetorically asked more than 30 supporters as she unveiled her candidacy at Bake Cupcake, a three-year-old specialty shop in the Pine Tree area.
Fish told the crowd the store front business was emblematic of her motives for seeking office. She has been the leader of Go West Longview, a volunteer group seeking to beautify and draw business to the Pine Tree and Greggton areas of Longview.
