Tyler — He's the only coach to win it all in the NBA and NCAA.
Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown visited with SMU fans Tuesday night at Fresh by Brookshire's.
Brown won the national championship with Kansas in 1988.
He won the NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons in 2004.
Brown took the SMU job last year.
He told KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner he enjoys coaching the game he loves.
"That's why I came to SMU," Brown said. "We're in a great city, we've got a great school, we're in a great conference. If you look at the talent level of the high school players in our state, if we get our share, we can be pretty darn good for a long time."
"I love to teach," Brown added. "College gives you an opportunity to teach. I'm just hopeful I can share with these kids what I've been taught."
